Aerobics is an exercise that is energetic enough and vigorous, it lasts long enough and is done regularly to keep your heart and lungs in good condition, some examples are cycling, jogging, and swimming. An anaerobic is "without oxygen" an example is building muscles or weightlifting.

Using the same large muscle group, rhythmically, for a period of 15 to 20 minutes or longer while maintaining 60-80% of your maximum heart rate. ex. Soccer Pratice
While “aerobic” means “with oxygen,” anaerobic means “without air" or "without oxygen." The best examples of aerobic exercise are workouts that you can keep your heart rate elevated for an extended period of time, such as running, swimming and cycling.
