An aerobic exercise is an exercise that needs oxygen to do anything, an example of aerobic is swimming or playing soccer. An anaerobic exercise is an exercise that builds muscles through tension, an example is any type of bodybuilding, which includes dumbell curls and bench presses. The difference between the two is that aerobic exercises are more full body oriented, and anaerobic exercises focus on a certain muscle.
